Chester Cheetoh!

For a "Bowl for Kids Sake" event for Skyler's work I was Chester Cheetoh for the morning session! When we finally got the suit on me and the big and heavy head attached I walked out and shook my booty in front of hundreds of people! Luckily Skyler got to be my handler because I could only see out of two small slits on the side and the front nose. I think I ran into a few people.... it was fun though! I posed for tons of pics and had to take a couple of water breaks because that Cheetah suit was HOT. After the session was over I was relieved of duty and became the pizza girl. It was a wonderful event!

Wish Night 2009

We volunteered at Wish Night for Make-A-Wish on Saturday night. Ronna helped me get ready by fixing my hair and doing my eye make-up. Skyler didn't want to put any make-up on! =) Below are a few pictures that we took before we left. We stopped at Chili's on the way for dinner then went and watched the speeches and dance show put on by some of the Wish kids. It was great! Skyler knew just about everyone there so he was very busy catching up with them. Our volunteer hours started at 11PM and we were done at about 1:15AM. I believe the silent auction went smoothly and we had a good time helping people find their prizes they had bid on and won. I'm sure we will be going to this event for many years to come!

P90X

Last Sunday Skyler and I started P90X and did the Shoulders & Arms routine. It was very tough but a great workout! I have a feeling Skyler's upper body is going to blow-up with all of the push-up/pull-ups we've been doing! That afternoon we had our Coed softball game and unfortunately Skyler hurt his left knee pretty badly running to first base. Hey at least he was safe!! He got an MRI on Wed. and the tech thought it looked like a bone bruise (which would be SO much better than a torn ACL) but he will find out the final results from his doctor on Monday. Due to his injury he can't do some of the P90X workouts with me. Definitely not the Plyometrics, Yoga and Kenpo but the others are mostly upper body or he just does another exercise while I do lunges, ect. Also, he will not be able to run the marathon in San Diego that he has been raising money for Team in Training at the end of the month. However, his efforts will not be wasted because he will be able to change his race to the fall which is a blessing because he will have more time to reach his goal! Mostly likely he'll start biking in a couple of weeks and get strength back in that knee in no time!

I have no pictures to post..... well that's not true. I have our "before" photos but I've decided to wait to post those until I have the "after" ones. Only 90 days!! =) I will have some this Sat. from Make a Wish night. We are volunteering that night and it is a formal. Ronna is going to fix my hair and we'll probably head out there before our shift to see the shows. Should be a great night!

My Birthday Day

I had a wonderful 26th Bday! Getting closer to 30.... oh well! I loved the presents from my family very much! Thank you again!

On the morning of my B'day Skyler thought he would be funny by giving me 26+1 spanks on the rear! In 21 days I will get him back (his Bday is May 21)! We got ready and went to the Ft. Worth Zoo. There were lots and lots of school buses and screaming kids but we still had a great time. When we left I got curious when Skyler wasn't driving the right way to Irving. After a little while I figured it out.... he was driving us to Oklahoma so we could gamble a little at the Winstar! No big wins but we had a blast! On the way home we stopped in Sanger and ate at Babe's. I'm eating all those foods I will miss once my diet starts on Monday! I didn't take many pictures because the battery was low in the camera but here are a few from the zoo. We also went to the Rangers game on Wed. but it got rained out so I have a couple of pictures from that.
