Yes it's true.... we bought a house! It is about 15 min. North of Ft. Worth and will be completed on July 14th. Move in date will be set soon after that so keep your calendars clear! ;) After signing all the paperwork we were able to put the SOLD sign up in the front yard and below are a few pictures.

San Diego Trip
San Diego was a really great vacation! We stayed at Skyler's sister Shanda and her husband Jason's condo and their grandparents also flew in. We did a whole lot of relaxing and site seeing! The only day it was sunny we headed out to the beach. Skyler got sunburned very badly but we weren't even out there very long! Lots of people were surfing and boogie boarding so we asked Shanda where we could buy a couple of cheap boogie boards and she happened to have one! The water was around 60 degrees which is pretty chilly and the waves were very big! We were both pretty exhausted after the beach so we stayed in and watch "Zoolander" (which was Skyler's first time to see it.... he loved it!). On Friday Shanda, Jason, Skyler and me all went to Petco Park and watched the Padres play a baseball game. The park allowed us to bring in a cooler of food so we munched on Nanny's fried chicken, cheese and cookies during the game. On Saturday we all checked out the San Diego Zoo. It's HUGE and very beautiful! They had a Skytram that took you across the park and went up very high. Below are some pictures from our trip. I put more zoo animals on facebook.

Skyler is the Champion!
A couple of days ago Skyler told me he has some awards ceremony on Tuesday and I can come if I wanted. He made it seem like now big deal at all but it turns out it was definitely a big deal! He was 1 of 2 "Community Champions" of ExxonMobil because in 2003 he completed an internship at Make-A-Wish, began his career in the non-profit industry and is currently working for Big Brothers Big Sisters. His boss, boss's boss and the CEO of his company even came to see him get the award! It was held at the Dallas Arboretum in a banquet room this morning and there were a few hundred people there. Skyler gave a very good speech after he accepted his award and looked so handsome in his suit! Everyone was very proud of him... especially me! =)

TOW-MATERS
Skyler did this post, so don't laugh too much.
Loni's mom gave us a tomato plant, and it has beared its first fruits. Yeah, tomatoes are fruits, even though they don't taste very sweet. Well, the one that's actually ripe was really good in my guacamole tonight.

Our hands look really huge, but the tomatoes are actually kind of small. I was just introduced to the world of Patio Tomatoes. They are bigger than Cherry Tomatoes but smaller than Roma. They taste really good, and grow well in lots of sun with lots of water and Miracle Gro.

Some people have a love fern, but we have the love TOW-MATER plant. It's doing really well, and it gives me something to do really quick in my ridiculously little amounts of free time in the evening. Yeah, I'm the one that waters it and makes sure it's getting good sun on the balcony.

(P.S. We will bring some Patio Tomatoes next time we come to visit to replace the ones that Duke killed with his digging ventures on the back Patio.... Sorry for the damaged plant!)
