Big Brothers Big Sisters

"Party Under the Stars" hosted by Cool River
Skyler's event has this party each year at the flight museum at Love Field before his Celebrity Golf Tournament. It was a blast!! He was bouncing all over the place but I did manage to get a few pictures! My friends Wendy, Casey & her boyfriend JR all went too and we had a wonderful time!

Engagement

We are engaged!! Skyler asked me to marry him on 8/7/09 after my volleyball scrimmage. I got home around 6 and he had a wonderful shrimp stirfry dinner ready and had rented a few movies. We ate our dinner while watching "Gran Torino" and afterwards Skyler asked me to get him some Banana Cream Pie pudding from the fridge. So I went to the fridge, got out our pudding from the boxes because we had recently bought them and brought it to him on the couch. He then asked me if I was blind. I said "No...." and he told me to go look back at the pudding. We both went to the fridge and I picked up the pudding box and stuffed inside was the ring! When I had originally got the pudding out I picked up the box, turned it around and got the pudding cup out of the back... completely missing the ring! He then proposed I said of course and got all chocked up! =) We both are very excited and are planning the wedding for next spring! Below are a few pictures of the ring. We will take the "couple" pictures later this fall.

Moving Day

Moving day was very tough! My wonderful parents came to Dallas to help us in the middle of a summer day. After loading up the truck with all the "clutter" as my dad calls it, we packed in the rest of the clutter from the storage building. We then caravaned over to the house in Fort Worth. One of the toughest jobs was getting the refridgerator inside that my parents brought for us. They had to take off the doors, unhook the water, ect. ect. and make 2 trips to Home Depot just to get it in the kitchen! It was well worth it though 'cause it's the best fridge I've ever had! After getting all of the boxes off the truck and into the garage we all headed to El Sombrero's for some good Mexican food and margaritas! We definitely are very grateful to my parents for helping us move into our new home. Below are pictures from the adventure.
Why Skyler had a Nascar tire in the outside storage room I may never know.... it sure did stink horribly! So did Skyler... he worked very hard and got sweaty

The fridge was a monster to take apart and reassemble but it was WELL worth the trouble!
Mom was a trooper!

Winston was such a good boy! The Bolo's stayed in the backyard.

Time to put away all our kitchen!
